Who are some successful executive UBC alumni?
Just wondering because sometimes I’ll look up a ceo of a random company and you’ll get the Harvard’s, and MIT’s but sometimes you’ll get people from really low ranking American schools. It’s pretty common for me to find CEO’s of Europeans companies come from lower ranked American schools. I’ve yet to find any UBC alumni tho. Western and UoT are common tho. So you you guys know any CEO UBC alumni?

Robert Alexander Mundell, CC (born October 24, 1932) is a Nobel Prize-winning Canadian economist. Currently, he is a professor of economics at Columbia University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
He received the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics in 1999 for his pioneering work in monetary dynamics and optimum currency areas. Mundell is known as the “father” of the Euro, as he laid the groundwork for its introduction through this work and helped to start the movement known as supply-side economics.
David Cheriton
David Ross Cheriton (born March 29, 1951) is a Canadian computer scientist, mathematician, businessman, philanthropist, and venture capitalist. He is a computer science professor at Stanford University, where he founded and heads up the Distributed Systems Group. He is a distributed systems and networking expert with keen insight into identifying big market opportunities and building the architectures needed to address these opportunities. He has founded and invested in technology companies, including Google, where he was amongst the first investors; VMware, where he was an early angel investor; and Arista, where he was co-founder and chief scientist.
Dominic Barton
Dominic Barton (born 1962) is a Ugandan-born Canadian management consultant. He has been managing director of McKinsey & Co since 2009.
Brandt C. Louie
Brandt Channing Louie (born 5 July 1943) OBC (Chinese: 雷震瀛; pinyin: Léi Zhènyíng) is a Canadian accountant and businessman. He is the President and CEO of H.Y. Louie Co. Limited (distributor to IGA stores in British Columbia), and Chairman of London Drugs Limited.
He succeeded his late father Louie Tong in 1998 on the elder man’s death.
David Cheriton is first and foremost a Professor of Computer Science at Stanford. He believed in some students when they started a company (Google) and invested in it, which I suppose turned him into a venture capitalist.
